Mel Ferrer dies aged 90: his life in brief

Hollywood actor and director Mel Ferrer has sadly died at the age of 90. The great man, who was married to late actress Audrey Hepburn, was surrounded by family and friends at his home in Santa Barbara. Ferrer had directed a number of movies which starred his late wife Hepburn, one of which was the terrifying thriller “Wait Until Dark.” The film was about a blind woman who was being constantly terrorized by drug dealers in her apartment.

Mel Ferrer began his acting career when he was just 21; he was a chorus dancer on the Broadway stage, just two years later he made his acting debut there. After that he moved on to radio where he was a DJ in both Arkansas and Texas, he later moved up the ranks and was a producer-director of a range of top shows for NBC in New York. He later made a return to Broadway, not long after he got involved in the world of motion pictures, in his long career Ferrer directed more than ten movies and also starred in more than 80 films. One of his most successful movies was Wait Until Dark, which starred his late wife Audrey Hepburn.

Mel Ferrer never reached his full potential so never made it as a major star; this then made him turn to television where he directed a number of TV programs, such as The Farmer’s Daughter. He starred in a number of programs himself, such as Falcon Crest as well as TV serial Return of the Saint.

Gina Gershon and Bill Clinton not having sexual relations

Actress Gina Gershon and former president Bill Clinton are said to be very angry over the July edition of Vanity Fair, as there is an article in the magazine that suggests that they could possibly be having an affair. Part of the article goes so far as to say that Clinton is out of control and that he is “seeing a lot of women on the road.” Gershon has been named as a possible paramour; the actress is fuming and has asked for a full retraction and correction.

The article goes so far as to say that Ms. Gershon has been visiting Mr. Clinton a lot and is insinuating that they had an inappropriate sexual relationship. Gershon’s attorney Lynda B. Goldman of Lavely & Singer law firm has said that “This is absolutely false … and she is extremely offended by the false and defamatory inference that she engaged in an adulterous relationship with the president.”

Gina Gershon’s attorney has said that the truth behind the story is that her client has only been in the room with Bill Clinton on just three occasions, and during those times there have always been at least a dozen to a hundred people in the room at the same time. Ms. Gershon’s attorney has said that Vanity Fair is not interested in learning the truth. Bill Clinton has also rubbished the claims.

A Las Vegas club has named Kevin Federline Father of the Year, but I bet the father of four did not get a vote from Britney Spears. The former rapper has two children with Britney and two with his ex shar Jackson; he will be presented with the award at a party that he is hosting at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. This is not the only award going to a strange celeb, Lindsay Lohan mum Dina picked up an award for Top Mom from Mingling Moms Organization, the charity is based in Long Island.

This is one award that we will not be taking seriously, how can you say that Ferderline is the Father of the Year. No good father will subject his children from the pain of not seeing their mother, ok I know that Britney is having problems, but Kevin should understand that the pop princess has been under a lot of pressure. Does he not realize that by not letting her see her children, will not only prove stressful for Spears, it will also affect his kids as they grow up. Let us hope that Britney keeps improving, and that she will finally get a chance to spend more time with her kids, that is the one thing that could help to bring the good old Britney back.

It has been reported that Nicole Kidman has chosen Patrick Demarchelier to take exclusive photos of her Pregnancy but has said that she wants to wait until she is nearly ready to give birth before the shoot. A source close to Nicole said that “Nicole wants to wait until she looks really pregnant.”

After all of the Vanity Fair Magazine business you would think that Miley Cyrus would be doing all she can to not get as much media attention, but you know how these celebs can be. The Hannah Montana star thought that by appearing in an advertisement for American Got Milk was a good innocent move, but American bloggers do not think so. It seems as if they think that a young girl sprawled across a chair in a tight-fitting top and a milk moustache is not the right image a girl of her age should be seen doing.

It seems that so many people agree that the poster was in bad choice, I just worry that Cyrus’s management are not doing the correct job in keeping her away from Controversial situations. This comes just weeks after Miley was seen wearing just a satin sheet for that Vanity Fair photo shoot, these photos were both offensive and has now made Miley Cyrus a bad model for so many young girls, it makes it look ok to do things like this.

Could James Alexandrou be dating Amy Winehouse?

Ex EastEnders star James Alexandrou is due to make his West End debut in a play that is set on the day of the 7th July bombings. James played Martin Fowler in the soap and will now appear in “In My Name” with fellow ex-EastEnders stars Ray Panthaki and Kevin Watt.

It’s said that the comedy will follow three supermarket workers who start a night of drinking at their flat on the day London was hit by suicide bombers back in 2005. It will run between 1st to 19th July at London’s Trafalgar Studios and will then transfer to the West End Theatre in Islington.

In other news James has been photographed in recent weeks at Amy Winehouse’s house in north London where the pair were seen happily chatting away. It said that James has known Amy for years and was just dropping a hairdresser friend off at Amy’s place.

It has been announced that Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson have split up again. Earlier this year they decided to rekindle their romance and friends of the couple have said that the spilt this time was not amicable.

It has been announced that Angelina Jolie’s Twins are due on the 19th August; this rumour has been revealed Dustin Hoffman. Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, in France Jack Black confirmed that Angelina is expecting twins, and Dustin Hoffman has disclosed more information about what has become Hollywood’s worst-kept secret.

Natalie Morales reveals in an interview that has yet to be aired, that Dustin told her that “She is due on August 19th”. But Is this true because its said that Angelina has added more confusion surrounding her pregnancy after revealing that she is due to give birth in as little as two weeks.

According to Perez Hilton, Angelina has said that she is preparing to give birth in a matter of weeks during a chat with a French TV network yesterday.

Maybe Angelina will clear this matter up soon and revel when she is due to give birth.

In other news Angelina plans to host a sibling party for her four kids when she brings home her twins so that everyone can celebrate the new arrivals. Angelina has said that the party will be a great way of making the other kids feel good about babies.

Texas gets ready for Jenna Bush Wedding and US President

Central Texas and President Bush are preparing for Jenna’s wedding this weekend. It’s said that President Bush will escort his daughter down the aisle at her wedding.

When President Bush was asked if he was excited about the wedding he give a thumbs up at Andrews Air Force Base before he boarded Air Force One for the flight to Texas, where Jenna Bush will be married Saturday.

Gordon Johndroe who is the White House spokesman said that “He’s looking forward to it. He’s excited like any proud father is to see one of his daughters get married. I think he’s also going to make sure he gets a good night’s sleep tonight so he can stay up late the rest of the weekend and enjoy all the activities.”

Jenna who is 26 will be tying the knot with her long time boyfriend Henry Hager, who turns 30 on Friday.

The White House have said that it will be a closed affair. White House officials have said that the family might agree to release a photo or two of the wedding on Sunday.

Gorden said that “This is really a private event for the family. I think the activities of the weekend are going to be really a private celebration for Jenna and Henry’s family and friends.”

It’s said that Crawford residents and businesses are preparing for tourists on Saturday and they have arranged for flowers and ordered wedding cake and souvenirs.

Marilyn Judy who is the president of the Crawford Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture said that “We think tourists will want to feel part of that special day, even if they’re miles away from the ranch and they’re not invited, because it’s a part of history,”

It’s said that she has impressed bosses with her new material and they want her to take on Whitney for this years Christmas number one.

A source said that “Britney has been on fire in the studio of late. During recording sessions for her last album ‘Blackout’ she was consumed by her private life. But she is determined to make a triumphant comeback. Her bosses have been amazed by the quality of tracks they’ve heard. Whitney is set for another re-launch at the same time later in the year. They are determined Britney will come out on top.”

Whitney is also set to work with some of the biggest music stars on her new album.

Whitney is set to team up with Akon on her next single and she will also be working with will.i.am, R. Kelly and John Legend.
