Ex EastEnders star James Alexandrou is due to make his West End debut in a play that is set on the day of the 7th July bombings. James played Martin Fowler in the soap and will now appear in “In My Name” with fellow ex-EastEnders stars Ray Panthaki and Kevin Watt.
It’s said that the comedy will follow three supermarket workers who start a night of drinking at their flat on the day London was hit by suicide bombers back in 2005. It will run between 1st to 19th July at London’s Trafalgar Studios and will then transfer to the West End Theatre in Islington.
In other news James has been photographed in recent weeks at Amy Winehouse’s house in north London where the pair were seen happily chatting away. It said that James has known Amy for years and was just dropping a hairdresser friend off at Amy’s place.
The friend said that ‘James didn’t stay long, but he had a quick catch-up with Amy. They hadn’t seen each other in years, but used to hang around together when they were kids and they still have some mutual pals.’
