It has been reported that Nicole Kidman has chosen Patrick Demarchelier to take exclusive photos of her Pregnancy but has said that she wants to wait until she is nearly ready to give birth before the shoot. A source close to Nicole said that “Nicole wants to wait until she looks really pregnant.”

In 1991 Demi Moore caused controversy when she bared her baby bump on the front of Vanity Fair magazine and Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera have also posed for magazines while pregnant.

Nicole who has two adopted children with her ex Tom Cruise has said that she is enjoying being pregnant. Nicole said that “I feel good!” when asked how her body was coping with the third trimester.

In other news Nicole and Keith have finally found out their baby’s gender, but it’s said that they want to keep it a secret. Keith said that I’m not saying. I’m glad we found out though, because it brought it home, you know what I’m saying?

A source has said that “The happy couple keeps buying things for the baby close to their Nashville home, and a source claims they have been reading a lot of parenting books. They looked so happy and so cute together. They were both pointing at the books and sharing a laugh about what they were doing. Janet Jackson to tour in September: Will Brother Michael appear

We all know how much of a hard time the Jackson family has had just lately, and all of the money troubles which has surrounded the family. It looks as though Janet Jackson is about to get a cash boost, as she has announced that she it to start a new tour. The singer who was last in the spotlight with a wardrobe malfunction at the Super Bowl a few years back will kick of her new tour in Vancouver on Sept. 20. The tour will see Janet playing venues in both Washington and New York; it has been 7 years since the last time that Janet Jackson toured.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Janet had said “I was supposed to go on tour with the last album,” Janet is talking about 20 Y.O. which was released in 2006, but it was her record labels decision to wait until the release of her new CD, Discipline. Janet is now in full rehearsals for the upcoming tour, Janet and the rest of the singers and band are now trying to learn their new songs, as well as working hard on the choreography which Janet is famous for.

As Janet will be starting a new tour, I do wonder if her older brother Michael Jackson will make a guest appearance at one of her venues. The King of Pop has been working hard on getting his music career back to what it once was, so what better way to get things rolling than appearing at one of Janet’s shows.

Is Robert Downey Jr. a convincing black man in Tropic Thunder?

We all know that when the news first came out that Robert Downey Jr. was to play a black man in Ben Stiller’s new movie Tropic Thunder, many people did not know how to take it. The thing is people were worried how Downey Jr. who is white will portray playing a black man. However, that is not all that people were worried about the movie, the thing is people first thought that Tropic Thunder was mocking people in the army as stupid and incompetent, but after watching the first trailer, we really do not have anything to worry about.

Tropic Thunder is a movie that pokes fun at Hollywood actors, and how they act as a pre-Madonna prima donna, it is great that someone like Stiller actually pokes fun out of himself and his fellow actors, such as Robert as well as Jack Black. You may still be wondering why Robert Downey Jr. is playing a black man, well he plays actor Kirk Lazarus in the movie, who was given a role in a new movie which was wrote for a black guy. Lazarus is an Oscar winning actor so accepts the part and dies his skin and really immerses himself in the role, he really starts to think that he is a black man during the movie.

After all of the Vanity Fair Magazine business you would think that Miley Cyrus would be doing all she can to not get as much media attention, but you know how these celebs can be. The Hannah Montana star thought that by appearing in an advertisement for American Got Milk was a good innocent move, but American bloggers do not think so. It seems as if they think that a young girl sprawled across a chair in a tight-fitting top and a milk moustache is not the right image a girl of her age should be seen doing.

It seems that so many people agree that the poster was in bad choice, I just worry that Cyrus’s management are not doing the correct job in keeping her away from Controversial situations. This comes just weeks after Miley was seen wearing just a satin sheet for that Vanity Fair photo shoot, these photos were both offensive and has now made Miley Cyrus a bad model for so many young girls, it makes it look ok to do things like this.

The Bachelor Finale Results: the winner is Shayne Lamas

The Bachelor started off with 25 American women and now it was the final and it came down to just two women, so what one would Brit Matt Grant choose to propose too, Chelsea Wanstrath or Shayne Lamas. Well it seems that Lamas the 22-year-old Californian actress was the eventual winner of the show. All 25 women had to be put through their paces to see if they were worthy of their hand in marriage and it was the blonde actress who beat the lot of them.

So what kind of things was Shayne Lamas put through to be crowned the winner of The Bachelor Finale, well she had to play rugby on a muddy field as well as have a game of tennis. She was also treated to a home cooked meal by the bachelor Mr. Grant himself. Matt has been described as a “totally charming and witty English gentleman who works with millionaire businessmen.” Grant had a nick name for Lamas which is how he proposed to her saying “Monkey will you marry me.” She did reply to him saying that she would, as long as he did not look at another woman.

When our bachelor was asked to describe Shayne Lamas, he said that she showed “warmth, sincerity and generousness.” Chelsea Wanstrath who lost to Lamas has said that her rival is one of the falsest people that she has ever known.

Justin Timberlake to produce MTV reality show The Phone

It has been reported that Justin Timberlake is set to produce the MTV reality show “The Phone”. Justin has been announced as the executive producer of the adventure series which is based on a Dutch programme that will see contestants battle it out for a cash prize.

Tony Disanto who is the executive vice president of programming and series development for MTV, said that “Genre-busting and reinvention is at the core of what we do, and ‘The Phone’ does just that. Each week will be an action-packed mini-movie.”

Here is what will happen in each episode. The show will begin with two hidden cell phones ringing at either end of a major city it’s then said that the two contestants who answer their phone will have five seconds to decide whether they want to play for a cash prize. The person on the other end of the phone will give them a task to complete in a set amount of time and if they complete it they win the cash prize.

In other news Justin’s collaboration with Madonna’s hit single ‘4 Minutes’, has reached number one in 21 countries.

Could James Alexandrou be dating Amy Winehouse?

Ex EastEnders star James Alexandrou is due to make his West End debut in a play that is set on the day of the 7th July bombings. James played Martin Fowler in the soap and will now appear in “In My Name” with fellow ex-EastEnders stars Ray Panthaki and Kevin Watt.

It’s said that the comedy will follow three supermarket workers who start a night of drinking at their flat on the day London was hit by suicide bombers back in 2005. It will run between 1st to 19th July at London’s Trafalgar Studios and will then transfer to the West End Theatre in Islington.

In other news James has been photographed in recent weeks at Amy Winehouse’s house in north London where the pair were seen happily chatting away. It said that James has known Amy for years and was just dropping a hairdresser friend off at Amy’s place.
The friend said that ‘James didn’t stay long, but he had a quick catch-up with Amy. They hadn’t seen each other in years, but used to hang around together when they were kids and they still have some mutual pals.’

Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson have split again

It has been announced that Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson have split up again. Earlier this year they decided to rekindle their romance and friends of the couple have said that the spilt this time was not amicable.

Owen’s friend said that “It was a pretty bad break-up. Owen said it was a tough one. He definitely doesn’t want to dwell on it. He wants to put it behind him.”

It was only last week that rumours were flying around saying that the couple had got engaged but Kate’s representative has denied the claims.

Sources have alleged that when the pair first split last June it was said to have triggered Owen’s suicide bid in August but this we will never really know. Let’s hope that he is ok this time round.

Kate has said that “Owen is such a lovely person, and I love him dearly. I wish him beautiful things - health and everything that he desires in life.”

Angelina Jolie’s Twins are due on the 19th August

It has been announced that Angelina Jolie’s Twins are due on the 19th August; this rumour has been revealed Dustin Hoffman. Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, in France Jack Black confirmed that Angelina is expecting twins, and Dustin Hoffman has disclosed more information about what has become Hollywood’s worst-kept secret.

Natalie Morales reveals in an interview that has yet to be aired, that Dustin told her that “She is due on August 19th”. But Is this true because its said that Angelina has added more confusion surrounding her pregnancy after revealing that she is due to give birth in as little as two weeks.

According to Perez Hilton, Angelina has said that she is preparing to give birth in a matter of weeks during a chat with a French TV network yesterday.

Maybe Angelina will clear this matter up soon and revel when she is due to give birth.

In other news Angelina plans to host a sibling party for her four kids when she brings home her twins so that everyone can celebrate the new arrivals. Angelina has said that the party will be a great way of making the other kids feel good about babies.

Angelina said that “It’s like, ‘Congratulations, your big brother, cake.’ It’s a big deal. I think it’s just mainly so their life doesn’t feel like the new baby’s made their life feel smaller”.

EastEnders Aaron Sidwell: why would we miss Steven Beale?

With Aaron Sidwell walking back into EastEnders in September 2007, it was great to have a new face and it was interesting seeing him play the role of Steven Beale, now he’s not in the popular BBC show, will you miss him? I am glad to see the back of Steven Beale myself, he played an evil boy who is not only confused about his sexuality, but also on what’s right and wrong. Anyone that goes to the point of killing people to get what he wants is sick in my books. Ok, its just a TV show and I am sure he’s not like that in real life but I can think of many other actors and actresses that would be more fun to come back into EastEnders.

Aaron Sidwell has been described as a heartthrob, maybe that’s with men and woman thanks to kissing both Johnny Partridge (aka Christian Clarke) and Lacey Turner (aka Stacey Branning). Although Aaron is not gay in real life, it would be interesting to find out if more women fancy him than men. Aaron did not renew his contract in May and has now left the soap.

Smallville Season 8: Allison Mack returns, Michael Rosenbaum & Kristin Kreuk depart

We all know that a few of our favorite characters from Smallville will not be returning for season 8, however we have learnt that sexy Chloe Sullivan played by Allison Mack is all set to return after reports that she wasn’t returning. I am happy that Chloe is returning in season 8, but I have to wonder what an impact it will have on the show with the departure of Michael Rosenbaum who plays Lex and Kristin Kreuk who plays Lana. Myself I am not that sad that Kreuk has not signed up for the new season of Smallville, but it is the departure of Rosenbaum that has me a little worried.

Allison’s reps were playing hardball with Smallville executives in the hope at getting a better deal for the star, and it seems as if their hard work has paid off. Justin Hartley looks set to return as The Green Arrow after a recent deal with the actor staring in another show fell through, although there is no official statement at the moment.

Arctic which is the last episode in season 7 of Smallville was the last time that we will see Kreuk and Rosenbaum, and this is what has fans worried the most; I just do not think that it will be the same show without our favorite bad guy. This was also the last show that Alfred Gough and Miles Millar who are the shows creators will have any involvement in the show.

The Office Season 4 finale recap: Toby Flenderson’s last day

When we look back at previous seasons of The Office they just concentrated on just one romantic affair in the American Workplace, but in season 4 the writers threw a little twist in, as a number of other characters were also involved. In the season 4 finale of The Office there were a huge amount of significant story developments, it seems as if the writers of the show wanted to set themselves up for a great start to season five. I would love to work in an office like that, as there were so many personal events going on in just one day.

The main story behind the last episode of season four is that it is Toby Flenderson’s last day before he heads of to Costa Rica, he has had enough with working in the office and he is also finding it hard to leave with the big crush that he has on Pam. As it is Toby’s last day his nemesis Michael Scott is so happy that he does his bit for the planned party, he even gives those extra cash for the party. Amy Ryan guest stars in this episode and plays Holly, she is the new HR person is set to take Toby’s place, as it is his last day he has to show Holly around. Michael as always wants to hate Holly from the start, but Holly has a strange effect on people and everyone likes her immediately. It seems that Michael has taken to her in a big way as he falls in love with Holly.

Things just get funnier as the episode goes on; this is a solid finale to season 4.

Kelly Brook to replace Jennifer Ellison on Dirty Dancing: The Time of Your Life

It has been reported that Kelly Brook is to replace Jennifer Ellison on the Dirty Dancing: The Time of Your Life TV show. The reality show will follow eight couples who will look to emulate Johnny and Baby from the 1987 film and win a contract with dance agency Bloc. I loved the first series and can not wait till this one starts.

The reality show is filmed at the Mountain Lake Hotel Resort in Virginia, which doubled as Keller man’s the fictional mountain retreat in the Patrick Swayze film.

Brook said that “Dirty Dancing is one of my favourite films and I can’t wait to get to Kellerman’s, carry the watermelon and learn the rules of Dirty Dancing, While raw dance talent is essential, I will be looking for that magic chemistry in our couples that will make the dance floor sizzle.”

Miranda Garrison and choreographer Sean Cheesman, will take on their roles again on the judging panel. It’s said that Kelly will be out in the US for 3 months to film the programme which means that she will be closer to boyfriend Billy Zane.

62nd Tony Awards Nominations Announced: In the Heights gets 13 nods

Well the Tony Awards Nominations have now been announced and the one show that has been given the most nods is In the Heights. The show is a musical about Latino families who live in the Washington area and has a rap, hip-hop and salsa flavor. The show has been given 13 nods all together, two of which are for creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda. I also think that In the Heights is worth these 13 nods, the show has a great story behind it, which is also matched by some of the best music I have heard in a while This season of shows is not about the new shows more like a revival of older shows coming back for another shot.

One of the biggest shows to be revived is Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific which is being shown at the Lincoln Center Theater, this popular show has received 11 nominations. Another popular show is Sunday in the Park with George, this show has received nine Tony nominations, and another great revival show is Gypsy which has got seven nominations. Other shows that are up in the best musical category are Cry-Baby, Xanadu as well as Passing Strange.

There is still a month to wait until we can see who wins in this category of the 62nd annual Tony awards ceremony. The awards will take place at the Radio City Hall on June 15. There are so many other categories in the Tony Awards for a full list head over to NY Times

Sabra Johnson Wins So You Think You Can Dance US

Last night we saw Sabra Johnson win So You Think You Can Dance when 16 million of you voted last night. I watched the show last night and the Lion King routine which featured all of the top 20 dancers from this season was fantastic, I love the group routines.

During the final each judge got to request one of their favourite routines of the season to see again. Starting with Mary she requested that Lauren and Pasha start things off with their Shane Sparks hip-hop dance and I don’t know about you but I loved they way this routine was put together but then again I love Hip Hop.

Judge Nigel picked his favourite routine of the season and it was the dance that Jamie and Hok done which was Wade’s famous hummingbird routine. Nigel said that it was “Definitely one of the most beautiful dances of the season”.

Jean Marc Généreux picked his favourite and that was Sabra and Dominic for their Shane Sparks hip-hop routine.

Wade wanted to see Lacey and Danny team up again and they danced the Hip Hip Chin Chin routine again this was one of my favourite.

Per Mia’s requested to see Sabra and Neil’s table dance which was choreographed by Mandy Moore. They danced to Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) by the Eurythmics.

The final four dancers where all powerful in the way they moved and performed the routines.

So in fourth place was Lacey followed by Neil and then it was down to the final two Danny and Sabra both very good dancers but America voted and Sabra was named America’s favoiate dancer.

Most of these dancers have been dancing since an early age but that don’t seem to mean much when it comes down to competition. Winner Sabra has only been dancing 4 years and what an amazing dancer she has become.

High School Musical Tour heads to Las Vegas

The national tour of High School Musical has announced an addition to its current line-up. That’s right High School Musical Tour is heading to Las Vegas in June.

The company now completes the booking of the tour route with a stop at Las Vegas Theatre for the Performing Arts in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The tour will be there from the 4th June to the 8th June.

Pre-order Rambo 2008 starring Sylvester Stallone on DVD: release date June 23

Sylvester Stallone is back as John Rambo twenty years after the last Rambo movie, so as you would expect has retired and is living in Thailand. He is living on the border right next to the Thai-Burma where there has been a civil war which has been running for sixty years. But Rambo now lives a simple life running a longboat on the Salween River and does not want to get caught up in any fighting. For years he manages to stay out of anybodies way, which is until a group of human rights missionaries ask for John Rambo to become their American river guide.

Both Sarah played by Julie Benz and Michael Bennett played by Paul Schulze approach John and say that they are not able to make it to the refugee camps by foot as there are too many landmines, so they need to be able to make the journey by river. At first Rambo refuses to be their guide he then decides to help them by dropping them off as close to one of the villages.

Two weeks later Rambo learns that the two missionaries have not returned and that the congregation has now hired mercenaries to try and free both Sarah and Michael, with this news John Rambo knows what he must do and that is when all the ass kicking begins.

National Treasure 2: Book Of Secrets starring Nicolas Cage, out on DVD 2nd June

National Treasure 2: Book Of Secrets is much like the first film in the way that it gets your mind thinking as it digs deep into things that we wish we knew about. Nicolas Cage is back as Ben Gates and is now out on a new mission to try and find the lost 18 pages from the diary of Abraham Lincoln’s assassin, John Wilkes Booth.

However; one of these pages has now been discovered by Jeb Wilkinson played by Ed Harris, this page actually contains the name of the assassination conspirators. Ben has now learned that his grandfather’s name appears on the list and is in a fight against time to try and clear his family’s name. The journey then leads Ben to the President’s Book Of Secrets.

National Treasure 2: Book Of Secrets is not like many sequels as this second movie out-performs the first one, as you would expect we follow Gates on his adventure as he follows one clue after another from London to Paris to New York. National Treasure 2: Book Of Secrets is not going to be the adventure that you will ever see however; it will wet your appetite until the new Indiana Jones movie hits the big screen.

The movie stars Diane Kruger, Ed Harris, Harvey Keitel, Helen Mirren, Jon Voight, and also Nicolas Cage. The movie has a Certificate PG.

Benidorm: Series 1 coming to DVD starring Johnny Vegas

The best comedy on TV last year had to be Benidorm which starred the talents of many British actors including Johnny Vegas. The show was written by Derren Litten who is the co-writer of The Catherine Tate Show.

Benidorm has so many great characters that we seemed to fall in love with, especially Jacqueline and Donald who are middle-age swingers. Vegas plays The Oracle who is great at quizzes and ahs come on holiday with his mother. The best family has to be the Garveys, who have come on their first holiday abroad.

Take That to record a new album: will it compare to Beautiful World

No one can deny the huge success that Take That has had since the band reformed, not long after the four band members got back together they hit the recording studio to work on the album Beautiful World. Well following on from the success of this album Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen are hitting the studio once more to start work on their second album since their comeback, the four of them have decided to cut short their four month break.

Sources close to the band has said “They’ve had the relevant meetings with their record company about a new album and both parties are in agreement about it,” they also added “They’re going to be back a lot quicker than they’d originally planned.” One has to wonder if Take That are rushing to make their second album as Boyzone are reforming. If I was Take That I would not be worrying at all, ok Ronan Keating is a great singer but the rest of the band is shameful, Stephen Gately just sing through his nose, what a pile of poo.

Take That’s last album Beautiful World was also released on DVD and sold more than 64,000 copies in just one week, that made it the fastest selling music DVD in UK history. Oh well looks like Gary Barlow will have to get back to the gym to keep his body looking nice and toned, and Jason Orange will have to take his Cod Liver Oil Tablet so he can work on his dance moves once more

Will Death Cab For Cutie’s Narrow Stairs album get to No.1

Death Cab For Cutie’s new album Narrow Stairs has had a great first day sales, and if it keeps going that way then the album could be on coarse to make it to the No.1 slot on next weeks Billboard 200. Sales figures were calculated through nine leading music accounts and the figures show that Death Cab For Cutie’s album Narrow Stairs sold in its first day, 54,000 copies. Pundits in the music industry suggest that the album could end up selling about 135,000-145,000 in its first week, and with those kinds of numbers it is possible for the band the reach the top spot of the Billboard 200. Narrow Stairs is looking to be a little like Panic At The Disco’s album Pretty.Odd, which sold 54,000 in its first day and went on to sell 131,000.

The new album is a little change for the band as we are used to them producing albums that have warm and bright flavors. Narrow Stairs is different in the way that the band has now widened their scope with dark synth tones as well as a biting atmosphere. Before fans start to get a little worried that Death Cab For Cutie’s are totally changing their style, don’t worry as they are still covering what we love them for, rejection and regret as well as love and happiness.

The album has that perfect balance of driving rock, retro vibe as well as moody mid-tempo ballads. The end result is a knockout of an album which is better than any work the band has done before.

Coldplay to perform at the MTV Movie awards

It has been announced that Coldplay and the Pussycat Dolls are set to perform at the MTV Movie awards that will take place in California on the 1st June. Coldplay will perform ‘Violet Hill’ which is the first single from their upcoming fourth studio LP ‘Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends’. And the Pussycat Dolls will debut ‘When I Grow Up’ which is the first track from their untitled second album, which is due for release sometime this summer.

This year it is Mike Myers who will be presenting the awards, which will see stars including Zac Efron and Angelina Jolie fight it out for the golden popcorn trophies.

Coldplay’s track ‘Violet Hill’ has already achieved over two million downloads since it was released onto the band’s website on the 29th April.

The MTV Movie Awards as we know always draws the biggest stars in film and this year is already shaping up to be no exception. Van Toffler who is the president of MTV Networks said that “The audience’s favourite movie and music talent combined with Mark Burnett’s uncanny ability to push the envelope and the show being live makes for a concoction sure to set off tons of unexpected water-cooler moments.”

Simon Cowell is Attending Glastonbury festival to support Shakin’ Stevens

Simon Cowell has announced that he will be attending this year’s Glastonbury festival to watch his good old friend Shakin Stevens perform live. It’s said that Simon has bought tickets for the music event so he can see the 80s British rocker take to the stage.

A source said that “Simon has always respected anyone’s ability to achieve commercial music success. In the 80s no one was better than Shakin’ Stevens.”

Shakin Stevens whose real name is Michael Barratt has said that he is not surprise that Simon will witness arguably the biggest show of his career. Shakin Stevens said that “We were great friends in the 80s. Simon loved all the stuff I was making at the time.”

It’s said that he will open on the second day of the event, which takes place over the weekend of the 27th and 29th June.

The main stage headliners have been confirmed as Kings of Leon, Jay-Z and The Verve. And as we know Jay-Z has caused quite a stir amongst other stars. Are you like Simon a Shakin Stevens fan I know that I used to like his music.

Have to ask this question “Will The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor suck? Below we have the official teaser trailer which has been released by Universal and must say the film basically looks like the rest of them, nether the less I like these sort of films they are fun. The best part about this film is Jet Li stars in it playing the resurrected Han Emperor, oh yeah fighting galore.

Now many of you may slate this film because it is being directed by Rob Cohen, just in case you have forgotten who he is he is the one who is responsible for xXx, The Fast and the Furious and stealth, you can say those films were crap but I actually liked them, ok corny acting by Paul Walker from The Fast and the Furious and definitely corny acting from Vin Diesel in xXx.

Will you say the plot is boring, will you say the acting is poor? We all know that the blockbuster global Mummy franchise is huge and on a personal note this film looks good to join that franchise. Let me explain the plot about the film a little, returning once again is actor Brendan Fraser who in the film plays explorer Rick O’Connell who is out to combat actor Jet Li who plays the resurrected Han Emperor, this is an epic race from the catacombs of ancient China high into the frigid Himalayas. Rick O’Connell is joined by his son called Alex who is played by actor Luke Ford plus wife Evelyn played by actress Maria Bello, oh and once again John Hannah is in the film again who plays Evelyn’s brother Jonathan. The O’Connell family must stop a mummy (Damn that’s why the film is called the mummy lol) who has awoken fro a 2000 year old curse who is threatening to push the world into his merciless unending service.

Anyway I do not want to spoil the movie for you, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor release in theatres on August 1st 2008. Now please watch the teaser trailer below and do tell me what you think of it?

Harry Potter: The Exhibition, coming to a city near you from 2009

Harry Potter is one of the biggest movie franchises in the world and the books outsell every other book except the Bible. Many fans have been asking for an exhibition much like Star Wars and Star Trek have, well it now seems as if Warner Bros have listened as there will now be a Harry Potter: The Exhibition, and will be held in a 10,000 square foot area which will be held in more than 10 cities.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition will start in 2009 and will run for five years, hopefully coming to a city near you. Harry Potter: The Exhibition will be a state-of-the-art exhibition that will feature all the things that you would associate with J.K. Rowling’s brilliant book series. In the exhibition you will get close to a number of props as well as artifacts that was used in the movies. You will also get to see some of the many great costumes that are used in the films. As the Exhibition will run for five years, they will be updated to show artifacts and costumes from the latest Harry Potter Movies.

There is no doubt that The Harry Potter: The Exhibition will be popular as the movies themselves have managed to earn $4.5 billion in worldwide box office sales so far, and this will only grow with the release of the other movies.

Iron Man Effect: 2008 good for Robert Downey Jr.

We all know that Robert Downey Jr. is a great actor as an Oscar nomination for 1992’s Chaplin proves just that, but the actor has never had huge success with the movies that he has starred in. That is until now as Downey Jr. is going through something in his career which people are calling the Iron Man Effect. Robert without a doubt is a great actor and he has starred in some superb movies, my favorite being Heart and Souls which is a story about four lost souls that once used to be his guardian angels during childhood, who are now looking to enter the afterlife.

It does seem a shame that it takes Downey Jr. to take on the role of a comic book super hero to actually get the success that he truly deserves. We know that he has had some struggle in his life with the whole drug problem, but it is nice to see that the actor has been given a chance to shine once more, and boy has he done that in a big way.

2008 looks as though it could be the best year for Robert’s career, because not only has he already had huge success with Iron Man but the movie world seems to be getting exited with his role in the action-comedy Tropic Thunder as well as The Soloist which starts Oscar winner Jamie Foxx.

Will Twilight Trailer beat Indiana Jones record: 4.1 million to beat?

A few days ago we posted an article which included the new Twilight Teaser Trailer; little did anyone know how popular the movie trailer was going to be. In the first three days of the trailer release it had been viewed over 2 million times on MySpace.com. This is coming close to breaking the record that is held by the movie trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, that trailer was viewed 4.1 million times in its first week on Yahoo Movie.

If the Twilight Trailer keeps going the way it is, then it will become the most watched movie trailer since the launch of the internet. This is a really big deal, all the other high viewed movie trailers are made by big production companies however; Twilight is made by a non-major movie studio. One has to wonder if Paramount Pictures are feeling a little sick right now, as they had the chance to take this movie up. The movie does remind me a little of The Lost Boys, this could be the reason why the trailer has become popular. Summit Entertainment are making the movie, they decided to make the movie as the first three books in the series has sold more than 6 million copies, so the studio are hoping that the movie adaptation will be as popular, and the early signs do look promising.

Bioshock Movie Update: Universal and Gore Verbinski to make film

Take-Two has signed a deal with Universal and Pirates of the Caribbean helmer, Gore Verbinski and Aviator screenwriter John Logan to produce the movie version of 2007’s popular video game Bioshock. This is said to be the biggest game to movie deal since the ill fated movie version of Halo. We all know how the deal with Microsft to produce a Halo game fell through which still made the software giant some money, well $5 million in fact. However; Strauss Zelnick the chairman from Take-Two has structured the deal a little different for Bioshock, he said “the state of the art deal is structured so that “Bioshock” won’t end up in turnaround like “Halo,” which is back with Microsoft.” He emphasized “The reason I structured it the way I did is to make sure it gets made.”

Take-Two has not been short of offers to turn Bioshock into a movie, but the game developer wanted to wait until it had one countless awards in the game industry, so that they could be offered a better deal from a movie studio. Universal was very impressed with the games results that they decided to make a preemptive bid.

No release date for Bioshock has been targeted yet as the movie is in the very early stages however Verbinski will be starting start pre-production as soon as Logan has finished and approved the script.

Take-Two has been approached by a number of producers and studios since the game came out in August but waited until it had swept most of the end-of-year industry awards and racked up impressive holiday sales before working with CAA to package the project. Universal got a first look and made a pre-emptive bid.

It will be great to see how Bioshock will work as a movie; the game is set in an alternative history 1960, and is in an underwater world. The scenes will be very dark and I would be interested to know what film certificate it would be.

Texas gets ready for Jenna Bush Wedding and US President

Central Texas and President Bush are preparing for Jenna’s wedding this weekend. It’s said that President Bush will escort his daughter down the aisle at her wedding.

When President Bush was asked if he was excited about the wedding he give a thumbs up at Andrews Air Force Base before he boarded Air Force One for the flight to Texas, where Jenna Bush will be married Saturday.

Gordon Johndroe who is the White House spokesman said that “He’s looking forward to it. He’s excited like any proud father is to see one of his daughters get married. I think he’s also going to make sure he gets a good night’s sleep tonight so he can stay up late the rest of the weekend and enjoy all the activities.”

Jenna who is 26 will be tying the knot with her long time boyfriend Henry Hager, who turns 30 on Friday.

The White House have said that it will be a closed affair. White House officials have said that the family might agree to release a photo or two of the wedding on Sunday.

Gorden said that “This is really a private event for the family. I think the activities of the weekend are going to be really a private celebration for Jenna and Henry’s family and friends.”

It’s said that Crawford residents and businesses are preparing for tourists on Saturday and they have arranged for flowers and ordered wedding cake and souvenirs.

Marilyn Judy who is the president of the Crawford Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture said that “We think tourists will want to feel part of that special day, even if they’re miles away from the ranch and they’re not invited, because it’s a part of history,”

I can not wait to see these wedding photos I bet that she is going to look stunning after all she is the President’s daughter.

Britney Spears to go head-to-head with Whitney Houston

It has been reported that Britney is set to go head-to-head with Whitney Houston in a Christmas battle. Britney is currently trying to get herself back on track following her troubled few months that saw her admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

It’s said that she has impressed bosses with her new material and they want her to take on Whitney for this years Christmas number one.

A source said that “Britney has been on fire in the studio of late. During recording sessions for her last album ‘Blackout’ she was consumed by her private life. But she is determined to make a triumphant comeback. Her bosses have been amazed by the quality of tracks they’ve heard. Whitney is set for another re-launch at the same time later in the year. They are determined Britney will come out on top.”

Whitney is also set to work with some of the biggest music stars on her new album.

Whitney is set to team up with Akon on her next single and she will also be working with will.i.am, R. Kelly and John Legend.
