It has been reported that Justin Timberlake is set to produce the MTV reality show “The Phone”. Justin has been announced as the executive producer of the adventure series which is based on a Dutch programme that will see contestants battle it out for a cash prize.
Tony Disanto who is the executive vice president of programming and series development for MTV, said that “Genre-busting and reinvention is at the core of what we do, and ‘The Phone’ does just that. Each week will be an action-packed mini-movie.”
Here is what will happen in each episode. The show will begin with two hidden cell phones ringing at either end of a major city it’s then said that the two contestants who answer their phone will have five seconds to decide whether they want to play for a cash prize. The person on the other end of the phone will give them a task to complete in a set amount of time and if they complete it they win the cash prize.
In other news Justin’s collaboration with Madonna’s hit single ‘4 Minutes’, has reached number one in 21 countries.
